Meet some of our crew:


Poet:  

Coleman Stevenson

Coleman Stevenson's first collection of poems, The Accidental Rarefication of Pattern #5609, was published by bedouin books in 2012.  Her poems have also appeared in a variety of jounals including Seattle Review, Hawai'i Review, Mid-American Review, Louisiana Literature, Hawai'i Pacific Review and Burnside Review.  She lives in Portland, Oregon, where she teaches design students about poetry, cultural communication, and word/image collaboration.

Monica Graves

After establishing a home, and having a family, Monica realized if she did not pursue her passions of film making while her children were young, she would look back later in life and wish she had. So, with seven kids at home she enrolled in college and will receive her BFA in Digital Film and Video this coming December. In that time, she has worked on set, and in the office of television series’ Leverage season five, and GRIMM season’s two and three. She has also produced, written, and directed, multiple short films, some promos, and an internationally broadcast music video. Her film making talents have been recognized with scholarships from the OMPA, The Art Institute’s Creative Arts Scholarship, and The Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation Film Scholarship.

Jim Hope

Jim Hope is an award-winning independent filmmaker and producer from Salem, Oregon.  He produced the Short Documentary Enchanted Way which was recognized with an award for “Best Use of Genre - First Person” at the International Documentary Challenge at the Hot Docs international film festival 2012 in Toronto, Canada.  Hope has worked in the industry for over ten years as a producer with CCTV, and is currently working on the TNT television series Leverage Season Five, as a production assistant. In 2011 he was honored by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters, with the OAB Foundation Award.  Hope is currently working toward a B.F.A. in digital film and video, at the Art Institute of Portland.

Director(s) of Photography:

Page Stephenson

Page grew up in Springfield, Oregon. He began learning his craft at a young age, and has always had a camera in his hands. Page naturally found cinematography to be something he both loved and excelled at. An avid lover of classic film photography, Page is inspired by Ansel Adams and his idea of producing the internal event that occurs in the mind's eye. Bold ideas and strong visuals are top priority for this young filmmaker. 

Austin Baker

A senior in video and film production at the Art Institute of Portland, Austin spends each breath conceptualizing, drawing and realizing a variety of films. He specialized as a director of photography and is also very skilled in motion graphics, and all other filmmaking skills.

Melanie Berube

Mel Be is one of those superhuman chicks that can manage 80,000 things at one time successfully. She’s a rare breed of modest filmmakers. Mel is always extremely organized, yet she has such a brilliant & creative imagination with the way she tells stories.  Along with Producing, she also uses her creative abilities as a Director, Director of Photography, Editor and Motion Graphics. Mélanie Bérubé has a natural gift as a filmmaker.

Shannon Breen

Shannon Breen is an aspiring film student attending the Art Institute of Portland.  She is a versatile individual, and competent in multiple areas of film-making, including: cinematographer, editor, producer.  Shannon knows her way around both sound and lighting also. With a passion for film-making, she is always up for an adventurous set and looking for new projects to work on. Shannon has been involved with many student films and professional films around Portland in both the non-fiction and fiction genres. With a professional and fun attitude, she is always up for a challenge and always give 100%.

Kia Geraths

Kia Anne Geraths is a Filmmaker, Artist, and Actor, based in Portland Oregon. She has worked with clients such as GQ, J. Crew, and recently Birthingway College of Midwifery, one of the largest Midwife schools in the country. Her short documentary, Dana Geraths: Wet Plate Photographer, was featured in both PetaPixel and ISO 1200 and her fiction short Bicycles premiered this year at the Bikesploitation Festival in Memphis, Tennessee.  She is a senior at the Art Institute of Portland getting her BA in Digital Film and Video.
